capabilities have been on the rise over the last year and it doesn't look to be slowing down any time soon.

We have just signed on the dotted line for something that we have been working on for a while; becoming a Garmin Dealer.

So in addition to our five-years-and-counting status as a Garmin Service Centre we are also a Distributor, meaning we now have full access to all Garmin resources, market insight and new product information, allowing us to improve on our services for our clients.

Garmin, first founded in the United States as ProNav, is now based in Switzerland and is a leading manufacturer and specialist in GPS technology used in a vast number of industries including aviation.

Other industries include automotive, marine, outdoor, sports activities and most recently Garmin has moved in wearable technology industry with smart watches and activity trackers.

OUR GARMIN AVIONICS GROWTH

For the last five years we have proudly represented Garmin as a Service Centre but with the growth in our Avionics team over 2016 we knew we had the capacity and expertise to have a larger impact for Garmin within New Zealand. It has long been a goal for our Avionics division and one we are thrilled to have completed.

Early last year we welcomed Harry van der Hoeven and Rens Molenaar to our team, who bring with them their expertise after the closing of the Auckland Hawker Pacific Avionics branch.

Since then we have further added three full time staff to our Auckland, Hamilton and Dunedin Avionics team, increasing our reach up and down the country.

With these changes to our team we knew we have the man power and expertise to better demonstrate to Garmin that we could represent them as a full fledged Dealer.
