Tuna boat pilots, Jonathan Bowen and Josh Camp register International Heliparts Limited. Selling various parts for Hughes, Bell and Schweizer aircraft.
July 1996
International Heliparts Limited purchases Marine Helicopters and moves base of operations from Henderson to Ardmore Airport. Company changes name to Oceania Aviation – inspired by Josh and Jonathan’s former operations as tuna boat pilots in the Pacific Ocean. Oceania Aviation begins as an helicopter operator based at its Ardmore facility.
August 1996
Our Part 148 Manufacturing division begins and has continued to flourish. Now creating cargo hooks, cargo pods, bike racks and spray systems.
October 2004
Oceania Aviation opens new hangar at 1 Harvard Lane. Opening celebrated with industry and government officials.
August 2005
Oceania Aviation turbine overhaul Ardmore facility is NZCAA approved.
