Talk to our team today about the benefits of our CD-155 Engine Upgrade. It's the smart, progressive and revenue-building option. Perfect for flight schools or private operators.
We have the capability to convert the following aircraft:
Cessna 172
Piper PA28
When powered by Continental Diesel’s CD-155 Turbo Engine, both the Cessna 172 and Piper PA28 aircraft can travel farther and are capable of delivering higher payloads than regular AVGAS powered aircraft. Running on the cheaper and more readily available Jet A1 or Diesel, these upgraded aircraft also benefit from a fuel burn that is up to 38% more efficient than comparable AVGAS engines, offering significant savings to operators.
Don't have a Cessna 172 or Piper PA28 to upgrade? Not to worry, talk to our sales team about what options we have available.
Better for the environment | More efficient for your operations
With the retrofitted engine, operators are afforded increased performance. With a range of 745 nm (200 nm extra) per tank and a service ceiling of 17,500 feet (an extra 3,500 feet).
With 97.5% less CO, 28.5% less CO2 and no lead emissions, the CD-155 engine is your environmentally friendly choice.
The upgrade comes with a few changes that will better prepare pilots for their next step. Training pilots can learn in a cockpit with a single power lever and a full-authority digital engine control (FADEC) interface.
The CD-155 engine provides the operator with approximately 38% more efficient fuel consumption with a fuel burn of 24 litres per hour at 75% power. This translates directly into cost savings.
In many countries around the world AvGas can be hard to come by, making the Diesel/Jet A1 running engine a practical and reliable choice.
By running on a cheaper fuel course in addition to offering a more efficient fuel consumption, this engine upgrade means cost savings.
With the retrofitted CD-155 engine, pilots have reduced workload, a quiet cabin and are flying with a new engine every 2100 hours. That means improved safety conditions for the pilot, passenger and operator.

Running on the more widely available and cheaper fuel option of either Diesel or Jet A1, this engine upgrade immediately provides savings due to the lower cost when compared to AVGAS. Add that to the 38% less fuel consumption you will see with the CD-155 and there really are no downsides to this upgrade.
