Oceania Aviation Sell Upgraded Canadian Imported Machine

We are pleased to announce the sale of their recently imported Bell 206L-3 to New Zealand based operators, Anderson Helicopters.

The 1990 206L-3 was recently imported from Canada by Oceania Aviation, where it had been operated by Valley Helicopters in British Columbia. The aircraft undertook a thorough refurbishment at Oceania Aviation’s Auckland facilities to meet the requirements of its end customer.

The refurbishment included a fresh Certificate of Airworthiness, new ground handling wheels, the replacement of the engine’s no.1 and no.2 turbine wheels, inspection of the compressor, 1200 hour main rotor hub inspection, fuel pump overhaul, 60 month transmission inspection, upgrade of the interior to include a fresh leather interior and new flooring, avionics upgrade, which included the installation of a new Garmin Bluetooth audio panel by Oceania Aviation’s Avionics team and a bleed air install provided by Oceania Aviation’s Part 148 Manufacture team, Airborne Systems.

Finally, Dart Aerospace provided bear paws and a gas door strut install.

It was a thorough undertaking and a complete team effort utilising the complete array of Oceania Aviation’s joint capabilities, including our Turbine and Component shops, our Part 145 maintenance team, our Part 148 Manufacturing team, Avionics, Logistics and our reputable Sales and Brokerage team.

Oceania Aviation are proud of the result and the quality of the machine Anderson Helicopters took possession of.

It is a prime example of the services and collective capabilities Oceania Aviation can offer potential customers, who are not only looking to acquire a new aircraft, but to ensure the aircraft is tailored to their operations wants and needs.

Anderson Helicopters, who are based in Hokitika in New Zealand’s South Island, will use the aircraft in operations supporting New Zealand’s Department of Conservation, Government contracts as well as other commercial, scenic flight and agricultural work.
